Az you doing alright, any up close news on the heatwave? "Melbourne has suffered its hottest night since 1902 as a heat wave grips southern Australia. While much of the northern hemisphere is suffering from unusually cold conditions, night-time temperatures in Melbourne have reached 34C (93F). The situation was made worse as air conditioning shut down when power cuts hit homes. Across Victoria state, paramedics attended to 70 people who had collapsed because of heat-related problems. Resident Andrew Jefferson, of Ballarat, west of Melbourne, emigrated from Britain in 2001 and said: "It's probably the most uncomfortable night I've ever had down under." Many residents chose to spend the night on the beach. " Video: news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/8453744.stm

Hey Dave.....where exactly does your sister? live again? I know it's on the Gold Coast but couldn't remember where exactly. The reason I ask is that I've recently been in touch with someone from a few decades ago and she lives up that way. A place called Elanora
Okay, her situation has changed. her daughter and son in law bought her a condo on the gold coast. She is not living there now. She' has a place in Syracuse and I am not certain about the place in Australia anymore.
I do not know of it is still her's. The husband has died and a lot of things have changed and I have not heard what the situation is.
Right now, as far as I know, she is in Syracuse and waiting to go to her other daughters place in Luxembourg. I called her today, but got no response. She may be on her way.
It's not my kind of life, but, it's her life. I hope it is good for her.
