Valero sure has looked impressive against the stiffs he's faced so far but come Februrary, he's gonna be facing a live opponent. Lets see how good he is against Antonio De Marco, who is 23-1, 17 KO's. DeMarco's a very good boxer puncher. If he can play matador to Valero's bull for a few rounds and figure him out, this could be a very good fight or the fight that exposes Valero for being more hype than substance.

I like Valero's vicious ring presence but he's definitely beatable. De Marco didn't do enough but when he did, he landed the cleaner shots. Valero simply outworked him into submission. Good win for Valero and a good gauge of his tenacity but definitely a showing of his weaknesses; he cuts easy, he has lousy defense and would be best dealt with boxing from the outside, where his short reach would be rendered ineffective.
