Recently I was working in SYdney and where we were staying there were dozens of sulphur crested cockatoos Every morning and night they'd come and sit on the ledge and you'd feed them. They're the ones you can train to talk, and people sometimes try and smuggle them out of the country, usually by drugging them and stuffing them down the front of their pants They fetch about $5000 each.
