blogs.wsj.com/law/2010/04/16/oregon-high-court-employer-free-to-fire-medical-marijuana-user/It makes me wonder. If a physician prescribes a performance debilitating drug like Oxycontin how is it that those taking this drug are not fired as well? Is it only due to the fact that the doctor must continue to see them and then prescribe for them? Do people actually have a 'right' to do what they consider best for themselves in situations like this? What are the reasons a government dedicated to freedom would make this judgment? Would it have anything to do with a cheap herb that might remove profit from the makers of Oxycontin? I have witnessed people reduce their intake of opiates for pain by 25 per cent with the use of marijuana. This means a huge profit loss for those who make Oxycontin. Is that the reason this judgment was made by the courts? Can people come to work every day loaded on Oxycontin and not be fired?
