Anyone used a GPS? I use regularly one for work and sometimes they do some mental things and send you to strange places. This couple made a typo and.....
GPS typo sends pair 650km off course
TWO Swedes expecting the golden beaches of the Italian island of Capri got a shock when tourist officials told them they were 650km off course in the northern town of Carpi, after mistyping the name in their GPS
"It's hard to understand how they managed it. I mean, Capri is an island," said Giovanni Medici, a spokesman for Carpi regional government, said today.
"It's the first time something like this has happened."
The middle-aged couple, who were not identified, only discovered their error when they asked staff in the local tourist office on Saturday how to drive to the island's famous "Blue Grotto".
"They were surprised, but not angry," Mr Medici said.
"They got back in the car and started driving south."
The picturesque island of Capri, famed as a romantic holiday destination, lies in the Gulf of Naples in southern Italy and has been a resort since Roman times.
Carpi is a busy industrial town in the province of Emilia Romagna, at the other end of Italy

Not sure where they started the trip from, but those two deserve to get lost. Why not get a map of the country to get coordinated with the geography of the area before relying on the dashboard brain?

I tried to use a GPS once , and I think they suck. If you want to deviate from what it says, it gets easily confused and has trouble adjusting. Nothing beats a good ol fashioned map.

Apparentlyyou can get satellite navigation on your mobile phone. How nuts is that? Not much these cell phones can't do these days. There was this guy on a job taking photos of people with his cell phone, a few days later someone threw the phone in the pool.
